Larvae as Decomposers
Their larvae are exceptional decomposers, capable of consuming a wide range of organic waste such as food scraps, manure and agricultural residues, reducing waste quickly and significantly.
Our food waste management system — turning what's left from our kitchens into something that gives back to the earth.
Our commitment to enriching lives extends to how we care for the environment. Through our food waste management facility, we use organic processes to turn food waste into fertilizer, supporting our own restaurants and nourishing the communities around us. By closing the loop through sustainability, we ensure that the value of food continues to grow and give back, long after meals are shared.
The Black Soldier Fly process supports a true zero-waste loop — from decomposing organic waste to producing nutrient-rich feed and organic fertilizer.
Their larvae are exceptional decomposers, capable of consuming a wide range of organic waste such as food scraps, manure and agricultural residues, reducing waste quickly and significantly.
The larvae themselves become nutrient-rich feed. They provide high quality alternative feed for fish, poultry, pigs and pets.
They have a fast growth cycle. Many mature in about 14–18 days, enabling rapid turnover and efficient production of larvae for feed and by-products.
The larvae turn waste into biomass, and their by-product (frass) becomes organic fertilizer giving further value back to soil and crops.
Using Black Soldier Flies to divert organic waste from landfills lowers methane emissions, reduces land use for waste disposal, and offers a lower-impact way to manage organic waste.
